ixia was established as Public Art Forum, an unincorporated membership association, in 1987. Public Art Forum transferred to a not for profit company on the 1st April 2003 and the company changed its name to ixia in September 2004 and now has charitable status. The registered charity no is 1106457.

ixia works collaboratively with representatives with a broad range of skills and interests in public art, including artists, architects and design professionals, consultants, curators local authority officers, researchers and academics. We welcome feedback about our programme and are pleased to discuss opportunities for collaboration with partners with an interest in the field.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Henry Lydiate - Chair
Henry Lydiate is a legal and business consultant specialising in the creative arts and Visiting Professor of Artlaw at the University of the Arts London. His regular Artlaw column has been published in Art Monthly since its first issue in 1976.
Maggie Bolt - Vice Chair
Maggie Bolt is the Director of the development agency Public Art South West, which works with the public and private sectors to involve artists in the creation of new spaces and the regeneration of old ones. It also operates the public art resource http://www.publicartonline.org.uk/.
Liz Smith
Liz Smith is Public Arts Officer for Southampton City Council, and is responsible for developing and commissioning integrated public art, architecture and urban design projects for the city. Liz has over 20 years experience in the programming, commissioning, management and promotion of the visual arts.
Michael DaCosta
Michael DaCosta has worked within the creative industries for over seventeen years. He is a global marketing strategist normally working with emerging cultural trends. His work connects creativity and commerciality.
